Trend Number 1. Return To Nature

Trend Zone
February 21, 2019
We start to introduce the trends that will be presented at the Design Week 2019.
In search of new intimacy with nature, we again and again return to our roots. This is not only the use of natural colors and natural materials in the design, but also a choice in favor of utilitarian aesthetics, where durability, functionality and respect for the environment are defining qualities. The colors and patterns, inspired by nature, are distinguished by an emphasized "imperfection" of naturalness. International experience today puts the concept of sustainability in the first place — sustainable development, the principles of which architects and designers must adhere to. Therefore, projects using recycling technologies are in a trend.

"Design and sustainability become one", global trendsetters proclaim.

To appreciate and feel this trend, it is enough just to recall the annual exhibitions that take place in Stockholm (Stockholm Design Week). The number of stands with well-known brands and designers that promote life in the style of "taking care of the world around us" prevails there. Designers and architects from Scandinavian countries have long ago changed their attitude to consumption and urge everyone to save resources and protect the planet. What does a huge number of interior items created by them from recycled materials, naturally marked with "eco" and deep semantic load, which the authors invest, embodying their ideas.

Let us recall some creators and famous people who proclaim the idea of preserving the resources of the planet as a whole.
