ComfortArea Awards 2020

The first All-Russian Charity Competition among students and graduates of relevant universities.
St. Petersburg Design Week will host a competition among students and graduates of architectural, design and construction high schools as part of the 10th anniversary season from May 27 to May 30. It is held by the International Association of Architects, Designers, Decorators and Builders MADDIS together with the architectural bureau ComfortArea, supported by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation and the Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of St. Petersburg.

Participants of the contest need to submit their projects on any of three topics: a design project for a children’s room, a design project for a coffee kiosk, a design project for a boudoir of a modern woman (bedroom, dressing room, bathroom). The competition will be held in 2 stages:
1) qualifying round from February 1 to May 10;
2) the final from May 11 to 30.

Internationally recognized figures in the field of architecture and design (Christos Passas, Simone Michele, David Collins studio, Karim Rashid and others), as well as representatives of the expert community, which are in the TOP 50 designers and architects of Russia, will take part in organizing the Competition, evaluating the results and the award ceremony. The prize fund is 1 000 000 rubles; the winner will receive a free access to a workplace at the MADDIS site in St. Petersburg for a year. Also the participants will get promotion on the international market, acquaintance with outstanding specialists in this field, exchange of professional experience with foreign and domestic colleagues, networking in the atmosphere of like-minded people.

In order to take part in the competition, you should submit an application on the website and send the finished project for the competition to konkurs@maddis.art until May 10 (inclusive).
