IED Will Present a Сompetition for Russian Designers
The presentation program includes the main trends for 2021, the secrets of success in the profession and expert feedback for the portfolio.
On March 13, the Istituto Europeo di Design will launch the competition "Design on Stage: lo stile italiano va in scena" for young designers from Russia at Italian Consulate General in St. Petersburg. The winners of the competition are offered for two scholarships — to study the Italian language in Russia in the summer 2020 and to study at the IED summer school in Italy in 2020 (in English). You can apply for participation until May 1 (inclusive). The competition results will be announced on June 1.
The presentation will be attended by Italian Consul General Alessandro Monti, IED Art Director Giovanni Ottonello and IED Regional Manager Olga Melkova. The speakers will tell not only about the conditions for participation in the competition, but also will present the main design trends of 2021 — "from sustainable innovation to digital religions". Using the unique methodology of the university, the IED professor will share his vision of the six global trends and provide the audience with concrete tools for a successful design career or scholarship contests victory. In addition, the meeting participants will be able to get valuable feedback by presenting their portfolio or design project after the official part of the lecture to design experts.
The presentation will be held in Italian with translation into Russian.
