New Dates for Major Design Events in the World

How has the calendar of specialized exhibitions changed due to pandemic?
London Festival of Architecture (London, UK)
The world’s largest architectural festival was planned to be held from June 1 to June 30, 2020. A digital version of the event will appear on the Internet in June, and the program of public events has been postponed until the end of the year.

Maison & Objet (Paris, France)
The usual autumn exhibition in Paris this year will be held in digital format. It will be possible to "visit" the exposition from September 4 to September 18, 2020 on the MOM online platform. At the same time, the Paris Design Week will be held from September 3 to 12 to support designers and decorators.

Cersaie (Bologna, Italy)
The international exhibition of ceramic tiles and bathroom furniture was moved from September to November. New dates — November 9−13, 2020. Cersaie will be the first offline event to bring companies back to the world stage after a long pause. In addition, the organizers launched an interactive program on the website: interviews, presentations and discussions with industry leaders are available for professionals.

Salone del Mobile (Milan, Italy)
The organizers decided to postpone the spring session of iSaloni back in February: first, the event was postponed to June, and later new dates were announced. The exhibition is waiting for participants and guests from April 13 to 18, 2021. Last year, an event in Milan was attended by over 380,000 people from 181 countries. Of the 2418 exhibitors, 34% were from abroad.

Art Basel and Design Miami (Basel, Switzerland; Miami Beach, Florida, USA)
Initially, the events in Basel were postponed from June to September this year, and then completely canceled. Now they can be visited only in 2021, from June 15 to 20. The December issue of Art Basel and Design Miami in Miami Beach is due to take place December 2−6, 2020.

Light + Building (Frankfurt, Germany)
The exhibition, which usually takes place in February, was moved to September in the hope that by then the pandemic would weaken. However, last month, the organizers announced that the biennale this year will not take place. The next Light + Building will be held from March 13 to March 18, 2022.
