Teachers at the HSE Design School Will Talk About Architecture, Modern Art, Public Art & Design Education

Regular partner of St. Petersburg Design Week prepares a whole block of lectures for the project's business program.
Architect and artist, partner of the Archataka Architectural Bureau, Andrey Voronov, using the example of the plywood theater of the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater and other projects, will tell about what "modern" architecture is and whether it is temporary or not. At the speech of the artist, designer, author of numerous three-dimensional installations in Russia and abroad, Andrei Lyublinsky, listeners will learn about the successes and problems of public art. Andrei Punin, an artist, architect, author and organizer of numerous festivals and exhibitions at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall and in the urban space of St. Petersburg, will share his vision of contemporary art in the historic center of the city.

Designer, founder and editor-in-chief of Projector magazine, head of the HSE Design School - St. Petersburg Mitya Kharshak will present the principles of modern design education on the example of the Design program at the HSE Design School, which is based on the practical approach and close interaction with the industry. The methodology allows the student during his studies to try his hand at different areas of design, gain experience in real project work, form a portfolio and become a strong designer ready to solve complex problems in the teams of leading design studios.
